MadLove Wins XBox Compeitition
"MadLove’s Angel’s Fall track for Tomb Raider was ranked as the best track by visitors to the contest site. For the past month thousands of musicians and gamers alike from across Europe have been creating new music tracks inspired by the latest high-definition games on the Xbox 360. From the colourful fantasy of Viva Piñata to the gritty battles of Halo 3, DJs, bands and composers have created tracks cut to a wide range of latest Xbox 360 titles. Gaming and music fans alike then logged on to view and rate the entries, with MadLove emerging as the winner."
"MadLove has been chosen on the short list of the worldwide X-Box
soundtracks competition and we are currently No.2 in the world! The song
we entered is 'Angels Fall' and it's for the Tomb Raider Legend game
soundtrack.
Now, here's the rub. We need you guys to vote and help get us to number one. Voting is unlimited so if you can keep a browser open and keep voting it'd be amazing. We know its a flawed voting system but everyone has the same advantage/disadvantage.

That's the link - navigate through to Voting and choose South Africa and then click on MadLove -
- remember to give us a five star rating. *****"
I had not been to a Wits orientation party in a very long time. Last week Tuesday was the Wits Street party. MadLove was playing along with Evolver and the Parlotones. There was a good crowd, of course mostly first years. The stage was small but the sound and lighting was excellent. Here are some photos below.
Last week Thursday I went to Roxy in Melville to see my cousins' band 'Mad Love' gig. I had not heard them play live in almost a year, and wow, they sound great! Love the new songs! Hope to have some mp3 clips from their new EP soon.
The weekend trip to the Drakensberg was long long over due. I had not been there since I was 13 years old and had forgotten how incredible it is there. The drive there started from the usual N3 highway all the way to Harrismith, from there started making our way to Bergville past Sterkfontein Dam, through Oliviershoek pass. Peaceful, beautiful, calming, clean crisp air, a million more stars piercing through the sky, mountain ranges stretching on as far as the eye can see, clear cool streams and rivers, hidden waterfalls.
Returning to London on 3rd March.
